Dear Friends and Family,
The holiday season is upon us again. Funny how the older we get, the faster time seems to fly (and I say that, just having hit my quarter-century mark). Reflecting back on years past, we remember all the wonderful memories we have with many of you. While we may not be there in person, you are all in our hearts at this joyous time of year.
2008 has been a good year for us. We have both thrived at our jobs. Stephanie moved from her position as clinical assistant up to the front desk at TMJ Therapy, and is currently being trained as the Office Manager. Luke transitioned from his role at Quomation as a tech guy to marketing and sales. He now works with 13 states, and has occasionally taken trips to visit his clients and hit up the trade shows. Thanks to the success and many sales Luke has had this year, Quomation is taking us to Disneyworld for a week in February! We are extremely excited.
We’ve had a lot of fun this year. We celebrated our 5-year anniversary! We took a trip in the spring to Las Vegas with our friends/cousins, the Broadbents. We went backpacking into the Uintas with Luke’s family. We drove out to Denver for a concert. We replaced our dishwasher (ok, so that wasn’t as much fun). But probably the most exciting thing we did this year was buy a new car. Yes, we are the very proud owners of a beautiful blue 2008 Mustang!
Aeris the kitty is as healthy and happy as ever. She’s such a spoiled cat, and she knows it. She’s our little baby, and thrives on our attention.
Luke made his way back to the newly renamed Utah Valley University to finish his bachelor’s degree in Communications. The classes have been challenging, and quite a workload, but Luke has definitely done well, setting the grading curve (much to the chagrin of his classmates), and has gotten all A’s so far. The end is finally in sight!
We are both still very involved in our favorite computer game, World of Warcraft. We enjoy holing up in the computer room on weekends, playing together and spending time with our online friends. Luke has also honed his skills as a Guitar Hero, impressing everyone who watches him play. To think, if he spent that much time playing a real guitar…just kidding!
Stephanie has discovered the joys of blogging, and combined that with her love of cooking to create a food blog. Now she can share her delicious gluten-free and dairy-free recipes with the world. Another talent Stephanie has recently rediscovered is her love of photography. She has done photo shoots for a couple of friends with new babies, and back in September, took the engagement and wedding photos for Luke’s younger sister’s wedding. It was a lot of work, but a lot of fun, and thanks to a cute bride and groom, the pictures turned out great!
We are so happy with our lives right now, and excited for what the future has in store. We hope this letter finds you well, and wish you the merriest of Christmases and a happy New Year. We’d love to hear from you, so drop us a line sometime, or visit Stephanie’s blog (http://stephanie-ray.blogspot.com).
With love,
Luke, Stephanie & Aeris Ray
